Dog Day In The Park hosted by Grand Rapids Kennel Club will be held on May 30, 2009 at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan! This annual day-long extravaganza is held to promote responsible dog ownership includes educational booths, apartment housing for dog owners, temporary tattoos and jewelry making, spinning dog hair into yarn, demonstrations of various types including agility, obedience, rally, frisbee®, showmanship, dog sledding, agility, weight pulling, retrieving and more. Jerry Barnaby of W-Lite 95.7 will be this year's emcee. Dogs on leash are welcome.
Additionally, Canine Good Citizen evaluations are conducted, rescue groups and vendors are available to offer information regarding services and products. Join us for this family fun event and don't forget to bring your best friend...your dog! There will be carnival games, Sonshine D Clown and concessionaires with great food. Each winner receives a ribbon and the BEST DOG receives a rosette ribbon.
