That's because ur original video's aspect ratio (4:3) is different from youtube's new screen aspect ratio (16:9).
If u get a new camera that is capable of 16:9 recording, ur vid will fit prefectly.
Alternatively u can "crop" ur original vid from 4:3 to 16:9, but it will require some video editing knowledge ^^
