The little Smith and Wesson Airweight revolvers have a lot going for them. Generally speaking, a good trigger isn't one of them. Yes I'm particular in my triggers but a smoother, lighter pull on your Airweight can equate in better accuracy and more enjoyable shooting. Here we check in again with Terry G of Impact Guns to get a trigger job on the S&W 638 Bodyguard. I show lots of the details as Terry stones the parts and discusses the Smith lockwork on this gun (fascinating by itself). Be sure to thank Terry for this, as there are FEW gunsmiths that would open up their shops like this. (he is a big supporter and viewer of TNP himself). Viewers should use caution if they choose to do the jobs themselves; there are opportunities for failure in steps that Terry makes look easy. You assume all risk if you attempt your own job. Also a quality spring kit, like the Wison Combat one shown, should be used in quality trigger job. Smith and Wesson recommends against cutting the the stock springs (could result in unreliable ignition). The finished trigger is nothing short of perfection and it was worth the cost (yep, I pay him just like you!). In drills and max accuracy tests, the trigger yielded tighter groups. It also increases pride and enjoyment of this little Smith./////////////// Trigger job information: Impact Guns, Attn: Terry G ("Yoda G") from TNP, 2710 South 1900 West, Ogden, Utah 84401, 801-393-2474, Extension 306, EMAIL: terryg@impactguns.com, (phones 888-505-3086 or 801-409-1021 too).////////////////Music: partnersinrhyme.com

  • Interesting as is. Terry hat's off to you on workmanship and explaining function. How many will listen to the "nevers"....? With use it is my understanding these parts polish themselves and as a result of use. Why not just use your gun in practice to get it to its desired level of wear? My dad always said, "don't fix what ain't broken". Also, no "trimming springs". This ain't a 63 "falcon gasser".

  • What watch is he wearing?

  • Most informative video ever!

  • Good video, but the camera mounted on a tripod would have been nice. I almost got motion sickness from all the bobbing around.

  • What a great, super informative and educational vid. thanks for making it.

  • @11:18 ahhhhhhh that noise!!! its like scratching chalkboard to me!!!

  • Agree!

  • Excellent work both by the Mr Terry and nutnfancy.

  • I like how Mr. G. keeps his absolute professionalism when speaking about other companies, their products and their work. A gentleman and an artist. Here here!

  • Wow! We need more videos of a revolver breakdown disassembly. Awesome video!  trigger jobs to lighten the trigger pull
