Here's Ricky Nelson and Marilyn McCoo singing a duet of Ricky's big hit, "Fools Rush In" on SOLID GOLD some time in the mid 1980's. Music arranged and produced by Solid Gold's musical director, Michael Miller.

  • she aged so well...whitney COULD have done the same...

  • @mccoofan around that time- close enough for me - great song regardless , lets just enjoy friends :)

  • @mccoofan According to IMDb, it originally aired September 14, 1985

  • No matter who sings this song -- and there have been many great, famous singers who have -- it is the song itself that has the most value. It is a beautiful melody and great lyrics. Have loved it since Brook Benton sang it in the early 60's.

  • @pabock71 That's something this new batch of singers hasn't learned yet. They all depend on the computer

and, the mixing board to make them sound good. Rick and Marilyn didn't have them and didn't need them.

    They were just plain great.

  • First Elvis in 1977, at 42, Then John Lennon in 1980 at age 40, and then ol' Rick in 1985, at 45 years of age... seems like the large portion of my favorites are leaving.

  • very sweet - miss his face

  • Singing isn"t a beauty contest it"s about talent!

  • He was a very good tennis player as well as an entertainer. When he came to Tulsa

he had his racket with him .
