Yikes! Jack Deere's "Surprised by the Power of the Spirit"??? For an insightful critique of this weak work, try "Satisfied by the Promise of the Spirit" by Thomas R. Edgar. Do we discover God's truth by experience? or by exegesis?

While I'm not fond of his other books or preaching, John Piper also impacted my life through "Don't Waste Your Life." It was in the county jail, years ago, that I read this book. Now I'm in Bible school, preparing for ministry. Praise God for how he has used this book to change so many lives!
