SHEPPARTON SOUTH WOMENS WIN 2009 GF BY A GOAL, WAS IT A GOAL! THE REFEREE SAID YES.
1st Lucille Clarke Shepparton South who is officially claimed to score the goal. But now, from the video vision that Lucille kicked the hand of Sheridan Fairless the Shepparton United goal keeper, missing the ball
completely.
2nd Because of the Shepparton South Lucille Clarke controversial goal on video, her team mate would of scored the goal from far out, near centre wing area by Shepparton Souths Bonnie Kilmartin.
3rd But, now with more zoom-in and more slow motion, now shows at the last moment when the goal keeper attempts to grab the ball and her team mate at the same time with her foot, only to heel onto the ball in trying to stop it from going across the goal line and avoiding her goalkeepers hand, but only to ever so slightly Katerina Dimitriadis (#8) only to help the ball across the goal line So the Shepparton South lass Katerina Dimitriadis looked to be the last person to touch the ball an own goal?
ONE COULD UNDERSTAND in the high tension of being involvement in the actual action and extreme pressure the excitement of the grand final situation in football to score as was.
I would most certainly not say any of the girls are being dishonest in their explanations (Lucille foot had kicked the goal keepers hand) - In her mind and the situation at the time I would certainly believe and respect her in understanding her claim for the goal and this goes for all players involved in the high tension of the game of GF football.

i play for united, south played better for sure, but shit goal... i would of felt lame celebrating this win... who knows what would of happened if it went to extra time or even penaltys.

Don't FIFA rules state the ball has to be all the way over the line to count as a goal.
The ball was definitely on the line but not all the way over!!
Well done to the South Girls for the way they played.
But it would have been better to kick the goal rather than claim it!!
Like South reserves last year!!
Another in justice to United !

Its always going to be a game of opinions. And people dont give credit or recognition no matter what. I posted a video of a goal scored direct from a corner kick (in a VPL Reserves match earlier this year) and mostly no one praises the player that scored. Instead they criticise the keeper for the mistake.
