Les Champs Elysees, drawn by Eugene Lami, engraved by Heath. 1846. A beautiful original black and white print becomes even more beautiful by adding water colors.

  • original or reproductions, it does not matter. you do outstanding work. i wish i had the talent to do this . i have over 100 old photo prints in black and white

  • well from a artist point of view you would think is a print of the original print or a copy.sure I wouldn't want to do that to an original art print.just out of respect to the artist and the true art.

  • usually print colourists use water-based paint that is "reversible"..so through washing it should be possible to restore the print to its original black and white state. Let's hope that's the case here!

  • I don't think this is vandalism. I think she is honoring it by adding a bit of color. It's not like she claimed the original print.

  • if this engraved is original, is not artistical or handmade work its a VANDALISM!!
