If you have a clutch with mechanical linkage and your clutch is starting to slip you might want to try adjusting it first. Here is a procedure for adjusting a cable operated clutch on a Honda.

  • I got a 95 Civic hatch with a 2000 honda b20b , My clutch has 1-2 inches of dead space before i feel it under my feet. how can i fix it? i can push that 1-2 inches in with just my foot resting on it and then i have to put the pressure, let me know if that makes sense if not ill make a video, thanks Eric!

  • @paintborgfun That vehicle has a hydraulic clutch and it's not adjustable. I would inspect the hydraulics for leaks and if I didn't find any I would suspect a problem with the clutch itself. I've done a video on clutch hydraulics that should help with your inspection. Good luck.

  • @xHcPxKush I have the same car. If you haven't adjusted the clutch pedal try to do that. Or it might be time for a new clutch. Good luck.

  • Hey I have a 1998 Honda Prelude base

Just recently I went to go to work.. And my clutch pedal felt too easy to push in.

I couldn't get it to go into any gear at all.

After about 15 min my car got warmed up and finally went thru the gears.

But it feels really rough when shifting?

    Any ideas?

  • hey Eric i gots a 1990 GMC S-15 borgwarner manual trans and after i been driving if i need to put it in reverse my R gear grinds its all still free spinning i guess just would like to know if that is a specific part or can be multiple problems
