dug up from my hard-drive.

recorded August 29, 2004, on the 2nd anniversary of the zoobomb.

The video starts at the top of the hill, winding down through the most popular zoobomb route, and finishing at the park.

This was a hi8 camera strapped to my helmet (quite heavy). The auto-focus kind of messed up a few spots, but oh well.

  • it feels super fast, not just because you're racing in the dark, but because you're riding a little kids bike!

I don't have a video going all the way down to the MAX station, though going down the rain "chutes" to Burnside could be cool.

  • Zoobombing in Portland - Bristol did an event in 2010 to honour the Oergonites #pocketinfo

  • @ElTagno I'm not really sure thats a good definition of boastful. anyway, im not trying to boast I just honestly think this looks lame.

  • @SW1882 Saying something that isn't a mundane occurrence is mundane is boastful. That's a big hill. Of course, if you ride down such a hill every day then it will be everyday to you, but to most people it won't.

Do you really find it mundane when you ride over this even bigger hill on your way to school? If it truly is bigger I'm sure I'd find it a huge load of fun to ride down. If you find riding down big hills mundane I have to wonder why you cycle. What enjoyment do you get out of it?

  • @ElTagno saying something is a mundane everyday occurrence is hardly boastful...

  • Keep Portland weird

  • @SW1882 They're not acting like they're the first people to ride down a hill, they're just a group of people having a good time. In fact, you're the one being boastful.

  • @oliverfrancis1 Every Sunday since Autumn 2002 large groups of people have been meeting to ride down this hill on children's bikes. There's even a large pile of communal bikes chained up at the bottom of the run which has become a landmark in the city. Yep, this is unique to Portland.

  • @SW1882

You'll understand a better when you get a bit older.

And don't forget to take into account they're American, so get over excited about anything.

  • looks awesome!! haveto agree about the longboard thing though, that would be amazing.. but insanely dangerous aha!!

  • fuck is this shit? I ride down a bigger hill on the way to school everyday. man acting like they're the first ppl to ride down a hill. smh....
