i listened to a hypnosis cd and got hungry in the middle of it went into the kitchen and ate, would that have ruined the session? lol [that was actually a serious question by the way]

@BananaSandwich1 Recordings work for many people, however, just as you have reported here, not everyone gets into a meaningful level of trance with them. When you have an individual session with an experienced hypnotherapist they would go at your pace. In other words, if you need more time to go deeper they can give that to you... Something a recording cannot possibly do. Was the cd for weight management?

@APMHA lol no it was something else i just woundered if i was doing it right, thinking ' am I in a trance yet, am i thinking too much, oops my mind drifted off' or if i open my eyes does it ruin the effect of it ect

@BananaSandwich1 It is not uncommon for people for people to drift their attention. Keep working at it. Going into self-hypnosis is a skill -- the more you do it, the easier in becomes.

f you look at the Related Videos section, there are a lot of videos that say ''Banned, Illegal, etc Hypnosis''.
What is that? Is it true? I'm too much of a coward to%

Thanks for your question. While we do not have time to review all the hypnosis videos on youtube, it seems most likely that the words "banned" and "illegal" in a video title are used to generate interest. There are a number of people who have learned to do a hypnotic induction, but may not be otherwise qualified to help with a person's emotional issues. That is why this association provides a free referral service through our website.
