On Jan. 29, more than 100 Girl Scouts had a once in a lifetime opportunity to talk with Dr. Sandra Magnus while she performed duties aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The event, established by a partnership between the Girl Scouts of River Bluffs Council, NASA and The Boeing Company, enabled the girls to ask Dr. Magnus a number of questions ranging from how she sleeps in the space station to what classes she took in school. Dr. Magnus, herself a former Girl Scout, provided insight into the "heights" one can achieve with hard work and dedication. in addition to speaking with Dr. Magnus, the girls also participated in a series of workshops based on space-related activities.
