Apocalypto depicts the fall of the great Maya cities which where already in decline well before the arrival of the Spanish and other Europeans. The Mayans had abanded their cities, returning th the forest to live in smaller groups.

The movie was about mayans, but Mel Gibson or the writers screwed up when checking historical facts by putting the spaniards in it. The movie was about mayans, but there are many historical errors in the movie. Its not perfect.

actually you are completely wrong this movie is not about mayans (not mayanes) because christopher columbus did not actually on that coast of mexico and he did not encounter the mayans he encountered the aztecs you dont know what the hell youre talking about but you were right in saying this was a pg version
