@iamstupidhahaha1 It's a reflex, when you make barre chords you can see your middle finger is stiff if you make specific chords that dosen't require the middle finger. First time I saw it, I asked the same question lol.

@iamstupidhahaha1 I took it to be a magical gesture. He was still playing notes one-handed and wiggling that finger at the guitar neck, like he was magical.

I saw the guitar player in Uriah Heep play a whole concert, with a broken right wrist. He would wiggle his fingers at the neck while playing a solo, with just his left hand.
