The UWP is a "Universal WayPoint" device created by hobbyist electronics tinkerer, Doug Marsh. The devices have a variety of programming options. In this game, the devices learn the beacon signals of the players and identifies the differences. It can then determine which players are "defending" it, and which are trying to capture it. When a capturing player meets the requirements of the UWP's settings, a capture is made. This was a 2 teams capture game, using the LTTO Own the Zone game to make use of the 15 second NEUT period after a tag. During NEUT, there is no beacon signal from the tagger, which prevents a player from defending the base UWP. Also, a capturing player in NEUT mode cannot capture the base, since it is the beacons that the UWP is paying attention to in this usage of the UWP devices.

  • games that involve the physically injury of the player necessarily get a more masculine reputation, which some a-holes can't stand. It's too bad. i play airsoft and lazer tag is cool too.

  • Yeah. Usually it's just a matter of getting those people to actually PLAY a game of OLT. Most of them think of arena tag (QZar, LaserQuest, etc) when people mention laser tag. I've had several painballers and airsofters come play tag with us, and they've all enjoyed it. Then again, there weren't any of their painball/airsoft buddies around to impress. ;-)

  • can u make a vid of him of my request plz

  • Actually, I have a video in the works that he stars in, though he doesn't have his gillie stuff on, just his ACUs and tac vest and stuff. Keep and eye on my vids, or subscribe to not miss it.

  • well isnt that harder to get in to cause im not rich in the ones they use in ur milsim look quite expensive

  • The really good pro gear is expensive, but you don't have to have pro gear to go milsim. I've got a guy who would put hard-core airsofters to shame if I let him, with all the camo he has he'd scare away potential players. ;-) Yes, the taggers look unrealistic out of the box, but a lot of people do paint and other mods, like you might see Nerf people do, that look pretty realistic. There's also recasing into airsoft shells.

  • have you ever played Milsim laser tag? Most of my videos don't show that side of it, but there's plenty out there. People get as hard core with it as airsofters do.
