Relevance is Irrelevant

One of two films I have been working on for school.

The story: In my grade 12 animation class, we were asked to stress our capabilities in flash. Obviously with the success that was 93 Million Miles Away, I wanted a real challange. Thus, working completely solo this time, I put together a proposal about 2 doodles, one a stick man and one a lizard-skull-monster-thing, jumping out of the doodle book and having an all out battle across a class room. Charolette stands as my witness, the same why that she is standing behind me right now begging me to mention her in this story. SAY HI CHAROLETTE!!!

The video was going to be done with a mix of flash and live action footage, and after weeks of drawing hundreds of character frames with tons of detail, and hours of filming, it was time to construct my final recipe.

But my old arch nemisis, Captain Technology-fuck-up-*trollface* McGee, chose to strike at this time, rendering most of my footage useless. However, one bit of footage survived the captain's brutal attack, crawling back to me. After I tearfully listened to his tragic fable of losing his bretherin, we sat down and thought:

What can we do with all these random characters? They were designed with a very narrow relevance to them, and reconstructing that would consume too much time. Thus, we sent these character to a world with no context or sence, and in exchange, their exodus would become my film.

And "Relevance is Irrelevant" was born.
