If you lived in a 200 year old cabin, you'd have a fireplace. If you lived in a 4 year old mansion you probably wouldn't need one.

I can't believe that guy thought everyone had a fireplace.
And accusing non-fireplace owner to be 'extremely poor' that's pretty gutless. I live in a split home in a nice new subdivision, great size for my family of three. We dont own a fireplace, although i do have a furnace and heating.

Pretty much everyone has a fireplace, those who don't are usually either extremely poor or homeless and they just use a homemade fireplace.

You must have grown up rich because that is not true. I am not poor and I am obviously not homeless and I dont have a fireplace. Not all of us have a new house that has a fireplace. I have been living in the same house for 16 years and this house is fromthe 70's ok. Dont go and make assumptions like that, becuase you are wrong.

Well yeah if you live in an old outdated house you're going to be missing some things, if I moved into a 200 year old cabin I probably wouldn't have electricity or internet.

Its not outdated. Not every new house has fireplaces. Not everyone needs one.
