I love this jazz standard especially Sonny Rollins’ version.
How did you develop your modern style ? Did you have a background in bebop ? You’re good at long lines.

@custardapple777 It's a great tune, and a nice vehicle for soloing. I recently started listening to more 'post-bop' than I used to; players like Benny Green, Russell Ferrante and Kevin Hays have been recent influences. So no, I didn't really have a background in bebop, my first influences were in stylistic opposition - the blues-influenced Gene Harris and contemporary greats Jarrett and Mehldau.
