Phil nailed his first 500 pound deadlift in his first powerlifting meet. He also didn't get any lift turned down that he finished, another great thing. With some technique work (I think he blacked out a bit and forgot his training on squat and bench) and consistent effort I really think he can hit some numbers that might seem impossible to him now. He's been a great training partner and I hope he continues to push himself and realize his powerlifting potential.
