Jack is playing Hit and Missile, a Space Invaders-like game by Tomy, © 1979 and given to me for either Christmas or my birthday, probably in 1979 or 1980.

  • Is that the new Playstation Vida?

  • Wow, this brings back memories!

  • Great to see a kid playing this game.I still have one at home I think unless my Mum has thrown it out, lol.

  • I love MAME. I've used it since about 1998/ver 0.28. For C64 I use VICE, but I have CCS64. I love Stella & I even have the USB Stelladapter so I can use a real 2600 joystick on my PC. PCAE (Atari 2600 emu) has online support. Atari800Win+ is an Atari 5200, 400/800 emulator with online support. Mostly I play MAME online. Many different games. Brawlers like Bad Dudes, Scrolling shooters like Metal Slug, Fighters like St.Fighter, etc. I play some NES online too w/Nestopia. Let's hook up.

  • @gjc82071 I think some friends had this game. I use Mame, CC64, Stella emulators, which games do you play online?

  • @Matlike1 That is cool though, that we're similar. Yes it was the age. Did you have this game? Hit & Missile? I did, hehehe. I still remember buying it in 78 or 79. Like I said, I LOVE old games. Hard to find people to play online with though. I have only 1 cool person I play with regularly/1 time per week. I am not at all into modern shooters, but I do like RTS/Strategy-War games. Do you have emulators? Let me know about the online thing I asked you.

  • @Matlike1 I am a huge retro gamer. I have 16 vintage consoles/200+ carts, but I primarily use emulators. I have emulators for virtually every console and PC made between 1976 & 1996 and every ROM/Game (60,000+) for them. Some of the emulators like for Atari 2600, 5200, Intellivision, Commodore 64, NIntendo, Sega, and MAME (strictly an Arcade/Coin-op machine emulator), offer support for free online game. I am always looking for new retro gamers to play with online. Let me know if interested.

  • @gjc82071 I'm the same way, probably because we grew up in the age when gaming was starting to bloom, I still play all the old games, I think they are just more fun than the first person gore shooters you get today.

  • @PEANUTLOVEDADY Yea it is. Oddly enough, most of my memories from that era are video game based. I was introduced to gaming @ a young age, via my step-dad @ 6yo. He had some Atari game. I think that is why I so love vintage gaming to this day. Besides them being so fun, when I play certain games, I think back & can actually remember when/where & with who I was playing them. Only thing that sucks is, unlike back then, I now have a hard time finding people to actually play them with, haha.

  • @gjc82071 its funny what you do remember as a child the 70s great times
