Feather Falls is nice just off Lumpkin Road.... however if you go this far you might as well check out the waterfalls up in Shasta County especially Mossbrae Falls if Caltran finally Re-open the trail (not really a trail) you have to walk 1 mile upstream against a RailRoad Track until you reach the railroad bridge. there are other waterfalls Burney Falls Potem Falls, Whiskeytown Falls, Upper Middle and Lower McCloud Falls
I would recommend Salt Creek Falls in Oregon no hiking! =)

There are two trails
1) easy about 5.4 to 5.6 miles
2) harder trail a little over 4 miles
There is also a camping spot just above the falls.I Plan on going back soon it will be my fourth time going.got hailed on once,big hail! :)
