They are wealthy and powerful, and insatiable for even more wealth and power. Ok, perhaps only those who govern. The others are brainwashed to think everyone except them are terrorists, so they cannot see who the real terrorists are. Again, not everyone of them is brainwashed, but enough to vote for their terrorist masters so to keep them in power.
