@Scharfsschutzen1 Besides, it baffles me how the all-superior German pilots could be defeated time after time during air strikes in August-October 1940.

@ Scharfsschutzen1 I suggest that you confront your enthusiastic view upon German pilots with the combat records of RAF No. 303 Squadron during Battle of Britain. It may be a real eye-opener. :) Even Wikipedia will do.

@Scharfschutzen1 It is a historical fact. Call it experience, tradition, or what have you. That is why German pilots naturally chewed up the Soviet air force despite the Soviet aircraft having similar capabilities to the Me109. I don't think the Germans had the luxury of pilot rotation. Maybe pilot rotation is better for an air force, but the question was were German pilots more elite--to which, they were.

@Xiolablu3 Necessity is the mother of invention. RAF v Luft early on. . . RAF tactics reflected the idea that they need to bring as many guns to bear on the German bombers as possible. As such, recording kills is more vague. Also bombers shot down can be verified. The Luft fighters priority were other fighters. It made sense to have the exp pilot in the kill position and a younger covering. Kill tallies were important in assessing RAF strengths, as there were no ground verifications.

how the can the dude pass it off as a real 109, which it is isn't as its a buchon, but then have the cheek to say its of only 3 left in the world flying, what and absolute douche

I like this show, but it could be so much better. I love this plane, wish it was a real 109 though.
-
the thing that gives away this replica made off another airframe is the fact that the exhaust is at the top of the engine. Real Me 109's have theirs in the lower part of the engine......
-
I am just speechless, lets just leave it at that. I read a lot of history from all sides.
-
@Xiolablu3 No, just historical fact, do you have a habit of making an ass of yourself on the internet?

Quote from RAF pilot Sailor Malan for instance. ' I dont really know how many I shot down. Much has been written about the rivalry between pilots and builing up their 'score'. In my experience this did not exist. The whole squadron's job was to destroy as many aircraft as possible, not to build up a personal tally'
its a spanish buchon, omg what a ugly nose :(
