  • looks fade over time so mental..but it wouldn't hurt if the guy has at least one physically attractive feature e.g. beautiful eyes or full lips.

  • I am a 33 year old woman & this may suprise u, but physical attraction is deffintly first for me. now i have dated men that i didndt find that attractive but then gave them the benifit of the doubt just to be intuned to their "intellect".. and come to find out they were no more smarter ,more loveable than the attractive guy soooo i made an oath to my self & said no more "selttling" i am going for the the guy who i think is HOT so that way if it doesnt work out I have no major regrets!

  • Both are...you want someone who is smart, has good self esteem, got goals, knows how to communicate, etc....and then you want someone who you can wake up and look in the face in the morning and feel comfortable, see naked, get sexually aroused, and feel comfortable out in public with them...so both is important 50/50..

  • Attraction to personality. The idea of considering physical appearance at all is just nonsense to me.

Why should mental attraction be secondary. How about just considering mental ability alone and you'll have a happy relationship initially and in the long term. Problem solved.

  • I agree with Matt 100% on this issue

  • mental and physical are both equally important....but for first sight, of course physical is important

  • Exactly.

  • both are equally important. it's about being well-rounded.
