@statsme88 Yes, with high-definition cameras. But those cmaeras were actually DSLRs :) Which is digital cameras, you know, still cameras. But they're great for feature films too ;)

@Luka1180 Both Collateral and Miami Vice were shot with High Definition cameras. The day scenes look incredible but the night scenes have a grain. The grain is there on purpose because of the way hd camereas can shoot through the night witch is why Micheal Mann converted to using them in the first place with Collateral. Public Enemies is shot in the same way.

@MrsTroublechick it was actually a high Grossing the Film Grossed 163 million world wide which isnt bad for a Crime Drama.

@Godzilla52 i think it will be as you say because the movie didnt bring lot of money,so a Micheal Mann dont wanna do this mistake again,take a same name and do totally different movie from original.I think thats why Miami vice wasnt profitable movie,but i dont know ,however, i wanna the sequel!:)

@MrsTroublechick Yeah the movie did set itself up for a potential sequel at the end, but i dont think Michael Mann is really a sequel kind of guy, although it would be good kind of like a modern French Connection 2, be interesting having Sonny and Rico hunting down Montoya, but i'm guessing he'll probably just move on to another big modern crime drama project which will also be good.
