Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!
Here's a little present for you guys: a new chapter!!
I'm really going to try to post more frequently now, I know I always say that, but I shouldn't be too busy now

~~~~~
"How did it go?" I asked hoping everything went well.
"Not that good," Rachel replied.
"What happened?" I asked. "It couldn't be that bad."
"Maybe it wasn't as bad as I had imagined, but it was bad. They can be so frustrating. I can't stand them," she responded.
"I know they're frustrating and stubborn at times, but they couldn't have been all that bad," I replied.
"Oh, but it was," Rachel assured me.
"What exactly happened?" I asked ready to hear all the details of their conversation.
"Well, of course they didn't recognize who it was when I called," Rachel recounted.
"That's understandable, but that had to be happy that you called them," I replied.
"One would think, but they weren't all that excited," Rachel informed me.
"What time did you call them?" I asked.
"It was probably around 7 or so," Rachel answered.
"Well, that would explain it a little. They were probably already a little drunk," I replied.
"Well, it was the first free moment I had," Rachel countered.
"I know, I'm just saying that explains their mood a little bit. Anyway, so what did they say?" I asked.
"They asked why it took me so long to call, in a very accusatory tone. To which I reminded them that they didn't exactly give me a heart warming goodbye when I left," Rachel told me.
"I've always hated what they said," I replied.
"That makes two of us. Anyway, they tried to convince me that they realized they made a mistake and they tried to find me," Rachel told me.
"That part is true. They went to all your friends' houses the next day trying to find you," I informed her.
"Well, that may be true, but I told them that they clearly didn't try hard enough," Rachel continued. "That made them even angrier. They told me that I had no idea what happened after I left and what they went through. They kept trying to convince me that they cared. I just laughed."
"I bet that went over real well," I commented.
"Oh yeah. They kept trying to convince me and blah blah blah. It wasn't very convincing. I told them that they didn't give a crap about what happened to me. If they did they wouldn't have kicked me out in the first place," Rachel explained.
"You have a good point, but I'm guessing they didn't really see it that way," I replied.
"You got that right. Then they had the nerve to ask what I ended up doing about the 'situation.' That's what they called it, the situation. Can you believe that?!?!" Rachel exclaimed.
"Now that is rude. I don't have any way to defend them for that comment," I replied.
"Yeah. So I told them that Amanda is six and they seemed shocked that I actually kept the baby. I don't think that's what they expected to hear," Rachel said.
"So I take it they weren't too thrilled with the idea of them being grandparents," I responded.
"Not at all. They didn't ask me to tell them anything about Amanda. They didn't ask where I was. They basically told me to have a good life and hung up on me," Rachel told me.
"That's awful," I replied.
"If I didn't hate them before I'm pretty sure I do now. I'm never talking to them again," Rachel informed me.
"I don't blame you. I will never pressure you to call them again," I assured her.
"Thank you," Rachel said gratefully.
"Well, I have some homework that I need to get done, so I will talk to you later," I informed Rachel.
"Okay, I'll have to come visit you soon," Rachel replied.
"Yes, and bring Amanda," I told her. Rachel agreed and I reluctantly returned to my homework that I had been doing before Rachel had called.
