As for the fact of obesity in WV, yes, the state is high on the fat scale; however, the percent of overweight people in the state compared to that of others has been slowly dropping over the course of the past couple of years. In addition, there are plenty of other statistics for the state that are rarely recognized. For example, WV has one of the highest (throughout history, we have almost always had the highest) number of men and women per capita serving in the U.S. military.

I'm sure that there are educational institutions in Virginia that would accept you. Why West Virginia if it sucks so bad? Because we have two of the best Colleges in the country! @twilightluver427 I will say this though, a person should not be judged by their accent. I have a thick southern accent, but that doesn't mean that I am anymore less intellegent than anyone else! I can't help where I was born and how I was raised to speak. I can however, help the words that I choose and my ability to increase my knowledge. I am not an inbred, idiotic hick just because I am from Logan County West Virginia and have an accent!

I am from Logan and the man's name that won America's Got Talent is Landau Murphy Jr. and he's definately made us all proud!

It is people like this that make West Virginians look bad! I'm not saying it's not hillarious, but this is what makes me embarrassed to say that I live in West Virginia! I promise you all, not everyone in West Virginia is this rediculous and ignorant! This is truly a discrace!

Oh my gosh why does everyone bag on West Virginia?!?!?! Just because he has an accent doesnt mean everyone in The state has one. And not everyone from the state is " some ol' hick" a lot of people from west virginia arent. I mean look at the person who won americas got talent, he was from logan county, wv.
