If you have had a tough day maybe this video will help you to unwind & relax. From 2.40 onwards it's just Aldeburgh's beach on a Summer's day, the sound of gentle waves onto shingle is magical...

  • Enjoyed both of these videos!

Was there last year - granddaughter and I collected pebbles with holes all the way through. Brought quite a collection back with us.

Love the music too! Have to check out "Bliss"

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Shadow.. I've just realised it is a very long video, but i still like watching it after a hectic day's work.. calms me down, was it wet & windy when you visited? Thanks again

  • No it was beautiful last summer we were there June/July for three weeks. I drove family all over the coast. And we walked everywhere in Felixstowe. Lovely weather.

  • Last year was the best Summer for years, this year has been terrible weather. I used to go to Felixstowe a lot when I was young, I used to live in Ipswich, approx 15 miles away.

  • i remember when i first say the pebbles, i was young and all id ever seen was sandy beaches. I left the house one day and almost got lost in fog. we dont have fog that thick here.

  • There are some sandy beaches along the east coast, but most are shingle (or pebbles).. next time I go to Thorpeness I'll take my camcorder (Not a foggy day hopefully) anything else you remember about the place?

  • Thank you for taking the trouble to video the sculpture. You've saved me a walk over the shingle to look at a load of old (s)crap

    btw - good video!

  • i was wondering where those pebbles came from! :P

  • i was only nine, i remember the people we stayed with. I remember a little wooden saiboat I had that i would sail in a little fountain but the fountain was in a town up the road which must have been Aldeburgh. We had fish and chips there as well at a shop near the sea. the year was 1979. im looking at maps now and i dont recognise a thing. go figure.

  • I hope it didn't 'irrit8' you.. lol .. it was going around in my head, I had recently bought the 'Bliss' CD from a shop in Southwold and it seemed to fit the mood, thanks for watching.
