I actually read in an interview that Pete Anderson was an asshole who made Curt do like a hundred vocal takes on each song, and then ended up splicing the best parts together for the end product, or something like that. It may have come out more polished, but was totally unnecessary.

For me Forbidden Places is the best album the puppets did on London and This Day is probably my favourite meat puppets track .

Sadly this album is out of print, I really cant understand it since its my favorite MP album.

Pete Anderson of Dwight Yoakam fame produced this album. I gotta say, I think he did a DAMN fine job! You can hear these guys playing with a shit ton of Pete Anderson conviction on this album. Curt's playing and tone hasn't been near this professional since.

Two of my absolute top 3 favourites on this album! Thanx very much for uploading and spreading these fantastic tunes hopefully even to the youth of today.

One of my favourite albums. Ever. Thank you:)

This record was recorded at Capital. They used the "in house" telecasters known for the defective pickups that have a whistle at high gain. Especially on "Sam".
