He talks alot of shit in the book aswell.. like who wants too know every little detail of his familys history??? his fukin aunt this, his fukin uncle that... jesus christ get too the police work..

Check out Conlon's book. It contains passages so thoughtful and well-written that, especially if you're a cop, you'll read them and want to stand up and cheer, because here's a guy who gets it, who can articulate it, and whose writing fast approaches the sublime.

I read the book THREE times by now and seeing this makes me wanna read it again. It's truly amazing how he can describe scenes so vividly, with so few but apt words - it's like he's painting pictures in your head with his words. Also it is astounding how strongly it makes you feel while reading it. I laughed out loud many times while reading it and I admit at times I also cried. Probably the best book I have ever read.
