Been training for about 5 months, entered into my first competition at an in-house tournament at my gym. Only one weight class so me at 150 pounds, was put in a with a lot of big guys, one guy was over 240. The two weeks before this I had an ear infection and this was the first time i had rolled since then. All in all though executed my game plan to an extent. 10 seconds before the start of the clip the match starts with shaking hands and me pulling guard. I feel better grappling on my back so considering the lack of training over the last few weeks pulling him into my guard was the best option for me rather than trying to make or defend a takedown. Tried to set up a few arm bar attempts and almost got submitted in a triangle choke but finished the match with a tie score. In overtime my guard gets passed and I lose via points. Got the jitters out and looking forward to next competition in September (only if I feel physically ready, as my training has sucked the last few weeks).
