Now this dog is going through life thinking that some dogs can talk, and that he was not born with this ability.

Wow- he's really into that. How long did he watch? My dog, who I wouldn't have called stupid by any stretch generally, just didn't even recognise the tv as something to watch on any level... even when it had dogs on it.
