Created on May 24, 2010 A 4 alarm fire ripped through many stores and the flames were at the walls of the synagogue and with the help of NEW YORK'S BRAVEST the flames did not penetrate the walls of the shul.
Oh, OK now I get it. But only if I ignore the empirical respone times and statistics signed by Mayor Bloomberg in the FDNY Annual Report. And, only if I don't note their favorable comparison with National Statistics. By the way Mayor Bloomberg wants to close FDNY Firehouses. He says there are more than enough. You might want to consider your position vis a vis Mayor Bloomeberg. Again, you're welcome. Have some more KOOL-AID.

That miracle is NOT called the FDNY, I'm sorry to tell you. If it would, then NO OTHER stores/businesses would be damaged or TOTALED. The miracle is that the synagogue stayed INTACT while EVERY other business ON THE SAME BLOCK, and CONNECTED To the synagogue suffered some sort of damage. It was the fact that the synagogue, a holy place, along with the prayers of members and passerbys, is what caused God to protect it from above. The FDNY, as usual, was super slow to arrive & act.
