  • @MrEestimaa Regarding the number of victims of the Soviet regime, I’m surprised you quoted a very modest figure. I’ve read many historians agree the number (albeit the high-end of estimates) being around FIFTY million, a number surpassed only by the Chinese Communists (sixty million). This number is so large it’s hard to even imagine the sheer scale of suffering.

But again, even with crimes as unfathomable as these, I maintain that history should not be manipulated and doctored.

  • @MrEestimaa Of course, you are not alone in your mistake. You would think that with the Holocaust being the single most well-known tragedy in western society, people would at least know how many were killed. Well, you'd be wrong.

There have been literally dozens of movies about the Holocaust made, yet the overwhelming majority of people make the same mistake, just like you. Kind of interesting, don’t you think? This alone proves my point of how little people really know about history.

  • @MrEestimaa Anyway, I'm sorry to say that YOU ARE WRONG about the Holocaust! How can you not know this? How can you not remember one number about one of the greatest atrocities in human history? Shame on you.

The actual number of people murdered is not SIX but rather between ELEVEN and SEVENTEEN million. If you don’t believe me, please check it yourself. Now think about that for a second. You actually forgot at least half of the victims. What do you have to say for yourself?

  • @MrEestimaa (sorry for taking so long to answer, was rather busy lately) The Second World War was such a massive conflict that if you live in Europe or East Asia, your family is likely to have been involved.

In my country people also suffered terribly because of the Nazis and later the Communists. One of my father’s uncles was murdered by Communists as was my mother’s uncle and the father of one of my friends had survived Dachau. The horrors of those times are hard to imagine today.

  • @JD12ish yup holocoust killed 6 000 000 ...but soviet reziim killed over 20 000 000 ...and many in my country including some of my family members.

  • @MrEestimaa Speaking of the Nazis; do you happen to know how many people died in the Holocaust? And how many people were killed by the Soviet regime?

BTW If you want to see an REAL documentary about the Soviet terror, try the following: Stalin: Man of Steel,

World War Two: Behind Closed Doors (by BBC). You will find these don't spare any blame but do it in a much more OBJECTIVE manner, without falsifying or deliberate misquoting, devoid of historical bias, something I like to call “The Truth"

  • @MrEestimaa You are only human and therefore it is understandable that you draw simple, linear conclusions. In any my comments did I ever deny or belittle any of the Soviet crimes? NO!

I have no problem with real historical documentaries that uncover the horrors of the Soviet system and I believe knowledge about this should absolutely be spread. What I DO have a problem with is when a mockumentary, that was sponsored by POLITICIANS, tries to influence ignorant people.

  • @MrEestimaa 96% of historians IGNORE this film because they have better things to do than get involved in political, racially-charged discords.

Of course I have seen this film. I have done so very CAREFULLY. I have also studied history which is probably why I am so violently opposed to it – unlike you, I can see the lies.

  • @JD12ish well 96% of history people dont arguge with this documentary...have you watched this ?. soviet reziim killed most people in history...but all we know is nazis ...nazis did that and so on ...people should know about soviets.

  • @MrEestimaa Did I say Russia was a nice place? Did I praise it for being a freedom-loving democracy? NO!

Present-day Russia is nothing close to a model state and I probably wouldn't want to live there. Also, Soviet history is one of the bloodiest ever. Nonetheless, that still doesn't give anyone the right to BUTCHER and MANIPULATE history in the way the Soviet Story tries to do. I pity anyone who believes a word of the idiotic nonsense that is said in it.
