Alan Turing is most widely known for his critical involvement in the codebreaking at Bletchley Park during the Second World War. But Alan Turing was not just a codebreaker.

Watch this short film and learn how Alan Turing broke codes in both his work and society.

Codebreaker is an exhibition developed by the Science Museum to celebrate the centenary of the birth of this pioneering British figure. Find out more on our website

That's not to say. It could have been sheer bad luck. His little private chemical laboratory was next to his bed.

  • Centennary Enigma

Read the enigma code history, the Polish did dechiper An Enigma machine and gave it to the French and the British. BUT the Enigma machine was not a Fixed machine because the Germans kept renewing, and recycled it into new type of Enigma machine with different set of rules and systems SO the one that was dechipered by the Polish was completely useless, therefore the British gave Turing and his team at Beltchley to work on solving this problem..

yet again - true)) its always a pleasure to argue to someone ADEQUATE!!!=))) but what would you say about this - it is obvious that BY NATURE man and woman are supposed to be together, thus it is correct, because nature has made it that way. so would acknowledge that being homosexual is NOT normal (its not a crime obviously) but not normal

we've simply a different stance on this: you reflect and ponder on possibilities around sexual orientation, I go with facts hence why we don't have the same comments ;)
