Its fantatisc that the basic technology of a signal box, is still there after all these years.
Frankly coz it just works!

The NX panel (short for Entrance/Exit, due to the way the route setting buttons function) controls the solid state interlocking at Aynho Junction where the lines to Oxford and London Marylebone diverge. The flyover carries the Down Marylebone line over the lines to and from Oxford; the tunnel is Ardley tunnel, where the Banbury South control area fringes with the box at Marylebone. The Oxford route hands over to Oxford Panel at Heyford.

The blonde Signalwoman can be seen in some of the stills!

The right-hand ctc panel with the fly-over and tunnel, what remote interlocking does it control?

And I like the music...most appropriate for the tension and fascination of seeing trains moving across the model board and knowing that you are responsible for their movements through your plant.

Those old towers were wonderful. We miss them in the USA. Dispatching centers controlling hundreds of miles of track from some corporate office park basement...yuck.

What's the point in just showing stills on here? Would have been nice to have seen a bit of signalling going on. And where's the signalman?
