Virtua Fighter 2 (Arcade) - Playing as Dural

ROM hacked to play as Dural

Dural, the final boss in every Virtua Fighter game, is also a secret playable character in the console ports. I've heard that she can be accessed with some sort of code in the arcade version of VF2, but I've never been able to find any information on it or confirm if it is possible, so I just did a simple hack to pick her in this video.

To play as Dural on your copy of VF2.1 (arcade version), get the original VF2.1 ROM (vf2.zip), place it in your emulator's ROM folder, unzip the files to a subfolder called "vf2", and then delete or move the original zip file to another location. Finally, grab the files from the following link and put them in your vf2 folder:

This hack adds Dural to Lion's position in the character select screen and moves Lion offscreen. (He's still selectable, though. This order change was necessary for technical reasons.)

You can make fun of my crappy lack of skills in this video if you want. It's been forever since I played this game and I hardly remember any moves. I was satisfied enough to pull off the Giant Swing. :P Also ignore weird or out of place sound effects, as they are due to splicing different parts of various videos together and from background programs that I forgot to mute.

The Saturn version had a great AI if you played in 'Saturn Mode'. Memorized your chains and playstyle. O_o

I know the code. player 1, start off with Akira and keep pressing left, right until you can play as Dural. player 2, start off with Jacky and do the same, except start with right

Can you tell me if this emulator allows you to get the game to version 2,0 and do a playthrough with Akira's glitched taunts and fighting Dural 50 ft in the air? If so I will probably make a youtube video doing that, if I can remember all that shit .... I can't believe no one on youtube has made a video of that - it was fun doing that shit in the arcades back in the day.

I've never seen the arcade version. I always heard about the bridge for Shun's stage but never seen it. That was hot!!! That beats Tekken 2 any day
