More than 280 people were arrested here in St. Paul Monday, the opening day of the Republican National Convention. Among them were several journalists covering the protests in the streets, including three of us at Democracy Now! Amy was detained trying to question police officers about the arrests of Democracy Now! producers Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar.

  • True Patriots.

  • Mainstream media is not covering any of this as well as numerous other incidences of criminal activities by the St. Paul Police Department. Regardless of politics, we as a nation need to demand a full investigation and accountability. We cannot rest until justice is served or we are no longer a free country.

  • Now imagine if these people in the slightest showed their outrage physically at being illegally and brutally detained, instead of being the wimpy limp wristed peace loving leftists that they are. How would the cops react then? These people would be beaten and the police would say obviously they are anarchist criminals.

  • Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

  • stupid cow

  • what does any of that have to do with what they are talking about in these videos?

  • those cops were army or national guard I am willing to bet. I hope even in this time of hope that these actions are not forgotten and those responsible are brought to Justice. Good job you guys. I heard somewhere that the US brought home a number of reservist to serve as riot guard is'nt this a miss use of our protective forces as a country?

  • Amy supports the gov 911 lie and she saw it happen from the street, however...

The cop told her to leave the restricted area (the public street) and she did.

He then grabbed her and pulled her into the restricted area (the public street - I don't want to let that go!) and arrested her for being in the restricted area (the public street).

    All captured on video.

  • i know this used to be america....when exactly did it become nazi germany?

  • Those police officers are LOSERS that deserve to be given life in jail for destroying the integrity of honest peace officers. Any who disagree feel free to contact me directly.

  • I'm not sure that I have any questions. I even forget what we were even arguing about, err -- discussing rather...? Maybe I'll think of something to ask after some reflection.

  • WOW!! That was books worth of info. thanks. Feel free to ask me anything. It's only fair I answer some things now.
