You know Naushad and Shakil Sahib will never be chased out of India while it may be true that Lataji have a Fatwa issued by Pakistanis. Never by Indian muslims at all. India has Sharukh, Amir, and Salman at the helm and most of the composers are all Muslims even today in 2011. You Pakistanis have to be always in denial and spread vicious lies. Shame. No wonder the situation is the way it is there.

  • @manposhi yeah exactly

  • Great Gift of Lata ji to the all the muslims of the world. great voice god bless her.

  • my favourite since i first heard it as a child !

thanks for the immortal gem .

  • an xclent prayer. hats off 2 lata g & naushad sahib 4 the divinity. the fanatics & midgets may issue sermons 2 lata g & naushad sahib, but these people r angels superhuman beings, pure frm core of their heart having no disparity. let good sense prevail on the fanatics & fundamentalists to treat all human beings alike.

  • This is one of the ten most favorite songs of Lataji.

  • Muslim Naat in Raga Kedar rendered by a Hindu, written and composed by Muslims, now those were the days.Today, the mullah might issue a Fatwa against Lataji and the Hindu fanatics might chase Naushad and Shakil Badayuni Sahib out of Mumbai.

  • This is the divinity of Lata's voice, it does not matter whether she sings a meera bhajan or a song to madina...her voice is so pure

  • In a recent book by Nasreen Munni Kabir, Lataji points out how she studied every script, character and scene connected to a song before singing it. Can anyone doubt that this plea to Prophet Muhammed is being sung by a devout Muslim woman in great distress? No wonder Lata ji is peerless and will remain so for all eternity.

  • A most precious Naushad-Lata gem from Mughal-e-Azam. Destined to stay in Indian music history for ever. Thanks, Ajay.
