WHY? h2o and food - Neodimensionale installation by Giuseppe Stampone - Vicenza (Italy)

WHY? Is an activity of the development education project Art&Earth (www.art-earth.eu), cofinanced by European Commission, promoted by Vicenza City Council, in collaboration with ProgettoMondo Mlal and Solstizio project., City Councils of Czestokowa (Poland) and Osjek (Croatia). Art&Earth combines art, didactics and new media to raise awareness of the youth regarding food and water rights and for reaching the 1st Millennium Development Goal.
The title of the work is "Why?" and it was born from Giuseppe Stampone's (www.giuseppestampone.net) idea: that one of a neo-dimensional project through the use of Solstizio (www.solstizioproject.net) in its action. It is a neo-dimensional project because it brings together different platforms (social networks and media), it implies a wide involvement and it is open because other "whys" that broaden the shape of the project and its contents can be continuously added.
The project consists in recording, through a television camera, an open question about the water, a "why" that every child addresses to the world. The "Why?" is used in several projects by Solstizio on subjects such as the access to the water (why h2o?), food right, the war (why the war), the emigration and it will be also used in other areas of interest in the future.
WHY? è un'attività legata al progetto di educazione allo sviluppo Art&Earth (www.art-earth.eu) cofinanziato dalla Commissione Europea, promosso da Comune di Vicenza, in collaborazione con ProgettoMondo Mlal e Solstizio Project, il Comune di Czestokowa (Polonia) e Osijek (Croazia). Art&Earth coniuga arte, didattica e new media per sensibilizzare le giovani generazioni sul diritto al cibo e all'acqua e per il raggiungimento del 1° Obiettivo di Sviluppo del Millennio.
Why? è un'idea di Giuseppe Stampone (www.giuseppestampone.net) che si manifesta come progetto neodimensionale tramite l'impiego nell'azione di Solstizio (www.solstizioproject.net) mettendo in connessione tra loro diverse piattaforme di social network e media generalisti con una partecipazione allargata ed aperta perché continuamente implementabile.
WHY? consiste nel registrare, con una telecamera, una domanda aperta su un tema urgente del nostro tempo, un WHY?, che ogni bambino/a rivolge simbolicamente al mondo. WHY? è impiegato in diversi progetti di Solstizio su temi quali l'accesso all'acqua (perché h2o), al cibo la guerra (perché guerra), l'emigrazione, la sovranità alimentare e in futuro lo sarà anche in altri ambiti.
