Adam Earle was completely unreceptive to allowing a alpine snowboarder in this event. Despite having 9 speed events (all podium finishes) on my resume. I have been in the excess of 70 mph . This seams to be a last hold for traditionalist skiers as he said i would be to frieghtened to attempt this race. What a jerk statement ! Four skiers wiping out on this video alone , yet he contends staightline snowbarding would be to dangerous. Probably afraid i might beat some of the skiers speeds !

In my defence if the host resort , the FIS or the event medical director all say no to snowboards on this track then what am I to say. Unless you have been to the event and seen the track and the short finish area you have no idea if it is safe or not. You would have to do high speed turns on a board to slow down which would carve up the whole finish area and put a stop to the event. Before slamming me, know what your talking about. :)

Those guys aren't the fastest, in the real speed skiing they descend 1 km and reach 300km/h

actually the top 5 fastest skiers in the world were at this race and the World Record is actually 251.41 kmh by Simone Origone of Italy, one of the guys in the video. No this race is not the fastest but the fastestm come here to race

He is actually a 12 year old that is forerunning for the worlds best speed skiers at the 2007 FIS World Cup Speed Skiing at Sun Peaks B.C. and e would kick alot of guys asses as his has zero fear.

@CathyEarle Thank you Cathy! And aswell "nx97" Why don't you go and talk to Adam yourself rather than slander him on the internet, he's a respectful guy im sure he has legitimate reasons for not allowing snowboarders on the headwalls, first thing that comes to my mind is your own personal safety.

I stop just the same way skiers do, open armed to start slowing then the same hockey stop skiers do. I do not carve up the finish. This wouldnt be my first rodeo, cowboy. I didnt speak to all the other parties, just you. So it is the FIS and the resort not allowing SB, not you. Thanks :)
