  • Greatest band of all time.

  • Listen to that sound. They were special, and unrepeatable. Morrison was a shooting star.

  • @sweetpetebrown Dictionary asslick

  • @oldiesbutgoodies67 an "early" version of The End? The first album (on which the classic version appears) was recorded in August '66 and released in January '67. The Matrix shows took place in March '67. I agree a few songs sound different than the album versions. I wondered about their alternate version of "Light My Fire" at the Matrix with Robbie's quiet guitar opening. But it was recorded long after the well-known album version.

  • 3:15 Morrison: "No,Ray, play it like THISS!" 3:22 Morisson: "Alright, that sounds cool"

  • my only friend the end

  • this is a great version of this beautiful song but i enjoy the live in vancouver version more

  • This is an early version of "The End" in the Spring of 67' at the "The Matrix"...Only the "FBI has the early classified films" of the Doors at the Whiskey-a Go-Go in 1966 when Jim played an average 1st set followed by an eery 2nd set including "The End". J. Edgar Hoover had some of the greatest early footage of the 1950's and 60's Rock and Roll Groups that he thought were evil and the surviving Groups including the Doors "thought" they were being filmed-They were..!Dan O'Niallain

  • Pretty cool footage of Krieger in there too. I have never seen this video. Been a long time fan of their music. I first heard of The Doors wayy back in the very early 80'.s. Did not know what to make of them at first, then became a huge fan, and still their music is amazing to me at 44 years old. It is incredible.

  • "Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain" - better than Keats!

  • great song by a great band
