  • You guys are correct, it was a stock bottom end and it blew up.

I recently rebuilt the entire motor (forged 9:1 compression) and now Its making over 500hp.

  • i hAVE A 94 MUSTANG GT I SWAPED THE ENGIN WITH A 5.0 IT HAS FLOWMASTERS SOUNDS NICE

  • i had a yellow 98 cobra once. got t-boned and totaled the car. lol i still remember the VIN number to the car.

  • Stock are good for 420rwhp over that its gonna break or get worn out really fast (as per my friend whos a master mechanic and builds stangs on the side..hes had 8 Cobras)

    -M

  • Its intercooled....

  • were the yellow and sky blue lookin cobras only offered in 98?

  • I would guess it is a stock bottom end but how do you figure it to be a stock bottom end? Should be able to handle around 400rwhp + or - with a safe tune for awhile if it is stock.

  • Looks like a stock bottom end. Wonder how much boost combined with a safe tune can it take? Didn't notice any "cooler" set-up. My 98 cobra just has a mild 70 shot/wet n20 for the power adder, it's fun, but always seems to drain a 10 lb bottle pretty quick.
