Dan Daley films from Calais, Maine - Directly across the river is Saint Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada. The "Saint Croix" discharges into Passamaquoddy Bay, in the Bay of Fundy which has the highest tides in the world.
The river is an estuary between Calais-St. Stephen and the river's mouth at Robbinston and St. Andrews. This tidal area extends for approximately 25 kilometers (15 miles) along this section and exhibits a tidal bore.

The Calais Waterfront Walkway is a one mile trail following the route of the former Maine Central Line to the heart of downtown Calais, Maine. This video features some very nice close ups of honeybees in the coastal roses.

  • I really enjoy your videos of the Downeast area. Waiting for the time when we can live in our Eastport retirement home full time! Thanks!

  • @Phjegood Thanks you for the kind comments. I love filming the area around me and making these little "mini-movies". I think Eastport will be an awesome retirement spot.

  • Great video Dan. Got any vids on Moosehorn in the works?

  • @music04777 The youtube driving video of my daughter is actually on the Moosehorn. National Wildlife refuge. They open up the Icehouse road as a park loop road in the fall. That one is posted here already. Recently I took the Jeep down to Bearce Lake, I have to clean up the footage, and then I'll post that. Thanks for asking Jim.

  • looks so peaceful there

  • @hsomerville09 It's very peaceful at the park. I made lots of neat little videos there. Fun Stuff Helen.
