The reason he has curtins and u dont is because the first day the game was relesed in the us and europe it had a word that was okey for america but in europe was a mean way to call the disabled. so nintendo quickly took the games off the shelf the first day and made a new version and replaced the word and also added the blue curtins. so you must have the one with the bad europe word and he must have the remade one. hope i helped!
