Ask Misty: Bitchy Drag Queens

I have had SEVERAL questions regarding this topic.... they are all about Being a NEW Queen and dealing with the Shady / Bitchy Queens before their time.

Dear Misty: I was wondering if you have any for being a new drag queen and getting jobs. I have done a couple of shows, but it seems the bigger queens don't like me. I try to be super nice to everyone but I still get shade thrown at me. Thanks♥

Dear Misty: Dear Misty, I have this burning question. I have wanted to start preforming in drag but intimidated by mean Hormone queens that preform & Mc. How do I start performing in a club? Ive gone twice and been 86'd unfairly through their connections. Whats the T asked by EmmaNations

I moved here from the Midwest (way up North) , and I have to say that South Florida is a lot tougher with letting the new girl come in. For me it's just about the hobby.

There seems to be maybe 6-8 well known girls and I personally think You girls are spread so thin...having to perform lets say Bills,then hurrying to Voodoo,then to Score. Whew...anyway speaking of Bills Thank goodness for it. (letting anyone perform there, It's cool) and keep up the good work of not having to get high to work.

@dwb48073 IT IS VERY VERY HARD in FL that is why I created the Trannie Palace (BTW Not anyone but most) THE GIRLS that are working "TO THIN" that is how we make our money and drag is our only job

BUT YEAHI lived hereperformed for 5 years before I got a real gig you have 2keep puttin yourself out there-performing EVERYWHERE people let you (benefits, talent shows/contests Trannie Palace etc) the more you work... the better you get and the morepeople know your name the more they want you

Most drag queens are drug addicts, alcaholics, and tardy for work? maybe where you live...but sweeping generalizations are a sign of ignorance.
