Dude, nothing is guaranteed....you could die tomorrow in a car crash or live to be 90 then die of being old but not before regretting you hadn't done more cool stuff. GO JUMP. You'll love it then wish you'd done it sooner.

Jack London explained best why I accept the inherent dangers of the sport I love:
"I would rather be ashes than dust. I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."

Hell ya! I'm jumping again tomorrow after a 7 month winter hiatus! The feelings come back when I watch this.

@acortest flying a wing suit takes some skill so if you havent even reached 100 jumps yet you dont need to be near a wing suit, if you want something different try base jumping

Not so, the parachutes are fully steerable.
As for not opening, ya, that's true, then you can die tommorrow choking on breakfast. Or get old and say "I wish I had done that when I was young." Think about it.

Nice jump. I think I can get in two more clear and pull jumps this week coming and hopefully get my A license this Fall.
Ahh cool, thanks! One more question - I was looking into the AFF training - which looks pretty expensive, and was wondering if the average cost for a jump gets cheaper after completeing the training?

It's about $250 for the ground school and the 1st jump. About $150 each for the next 2-3 (because you need 2 instructors with you). Then, when you only need 1 instructor jumping with you its about $90 each. After completing AFF (min 7 jumps) it gets much cheaper (around $40 each). $15 for the lift up and $25 for the gear rental. Certain days they have deals on the lifts or maybe the gear rental. Also, if you rent gear for multiple jumps, it can be much less, like $50 for all day rental.

That's awesome. How many jumps does it take to get to that kind os skill level?

It takes 25 to get an 'A' license and the final 3 jumps together were the test for the license, so it was either #23, 24 or 25.
