Several noob questions here. Why is there a gap in the wall at 7:51? I noted gaps like this in other videos as well. Does the player just delete it in place of a gate?
Also, why does the player garrison his villagers in the town center at 12:29? I've noticed this to in other videos. Is there a specific economic advantage?

@bigbrownbat123 If one of your boar are outside of the walls then you have to delete a bit of wall so that you can lure it to your town center.
When you garrison your villagers will drop off any resources that they are carrying, which is handy if you just need a little more food to get to 500 so that you can advance.

@bigbrownbat123 There are two other channels that are now inactive, they do have some content though. There is illumiknight who shows gameplay with little or no commentary and there is MrDanish177 who has a few videos too.
