Bookchin describes how and why he became an anarchist. He also answers whether or not he believes work is inherently hierarchical (as Friedrich Engels believed so).
Murray Bookchin interviewed by Mark Saunders in London sometime in May of 1992.
A critique of entrenched social dominance (which is wholly unnatural) has to be questioned. Work and leisure should replicate our evolutionary physical processes, rather than the supposed rationalism of liberalism.
Marxist critiques, with their dominant political structures ultimately lead to dictatorship and again is completely unnatural.
Anarchistic Social Ecology is an interesting alternative to dominant ideas - a counter to concentration of power.
At 1:16 it is already clear where he's coming from, when he mentions 'other forms of oppression': the Frankfurt School.
Although with every phrase he suggests he reached his own conclusions, MB isn't a thinker; he's just another outlet of a mainstream strategy designed by his mentors to take over society. Eew, always that same hypocrisy of pretending to fight for the poor oppressed, the victims of society, when this is all about CYNICAL SOCIAL ENGINEERING.
