You missed out that the banks WANT people to be morons.

So they can rob them blind.

Elizabeth Warren isn't out to stop anyone except the banks who want to rob from America's families.

And unfortunately, there are some scummy operators in the banking industry.

So, we need a sheriff. Who doesn't take bribes...

Banks = Greedy. Economic system = mess prone to manipulation by the owning class and rollercoaster booms and busts due to its own internal contradictions. People who got loans = morons? Capitalism at this stage has only seen fit to recapitalize its consumer wealth through credit. It's loans or declining standard of living. Consumer spending drives the economy and by cheating workers out of more and more of their share of the pie the financial sector has drained consumers nearly dry.

Ah yes - Lizzy Warren for President indeed. We're well on our way to becoming France.

Wrong formula: Banks = Greedy. People who got the loans = innocent victims.

Right formula: Banks = Greedy. People who got the loans = MORONS who were either too stupid or too greedy to realize they were KNOWINGLY taking a loan they couldn't repay.

Let's stop the ignorance people. Were the banks greedy? Yep. Were the people who borrowed like drunken sailors greedy too? Yep.
