Hi,consistent is certainly Gene Watson's middle name,some top stars change their style,or their voice alters or they sing nondescript lyrics,not Gene Watson,pure true country through and through.
The best I ever heard him was live on Larry's Country Diner singing Ramblin' Rose,and he has never recorded that song,it was brilliant.

WOW ! What a night spent with Gene Watson songs.And not heard one I didn't like.The only country singer I can say that about....My bottom is getting tired,but I will be here till the last song has been sung by this magnificent ,Talented singer.
I'm with you Paula , His beautiful voice hasn't changed,He sounds the same as his first song.He and his musicians are

Each time I hear a "new" song by Gene I wonder how I've missed so many of these good ones through the years. I am so happy Gene has stayed with pure country. His voice and the good musicians in his band are unbeatable. I never tire of listening to him and he sounds as good today as he did yesterday. Thanks so much for posting another winner. - Paula
